Jennifer Bagdade, APR
As an Accredited and award-winning communications professional, Jennifer Bagdade, APR, guides, strategizes, executes and counsels all levels of management and staff to deliver purposeful communication through crisis and change allowing leaders and organizations to communicate effectively at their best when it’s needed most.
As principal of PR UNSPUN, LLC, Jennifer has worked with a variety of clients including Northwest Airlines, the National Marrow Donor Program, Felhaber, Larson, Fenlon & Vogt, MLT Vacations and Harmon AutoGlass. In addition to leading her own business, Jennifer has extensive experience with public sector, Fortune 500, PR agency, small business and nonprofit organizations across many industries such as education, transportation, construction, insurance, health care, technology, legal and more.
In the corporate world, Jennifer served as director of Corporate Communications for The Travelers Companies, Inc. where she was a trusted communications adviser for 15 Travelers’ underwriting entities, representing approximately $10 billion of combined gross written premiums. In her role, she provided strategic, big-picture planning and managed execution of internal and change management communications, and external public relations programs to advance the organization's strategic intent and leverage cross-functional collaboration.
Jennifer also served as public information officer for the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metropolitan Airports Commission, managing day-to-day activities, serving as a spokesperson for the media and coordinating the agency’s plan for responding to the 1998 Northwest Airlines Pilots strike. She launched her communications career at Weber Shandwick, one of the world’s leading public relations firms, where she planned and implemented public and media relations programs for technology companies locally and internationally.
Jennifer holds a master's degree in International Communication from The American University in Washington, D.C. and a bachelor's degree in history and French from Indiana University.
Jennifer is a member of the Minnesota chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and sits on the boards of the Jewish Federation of Greater St. Paul and the St. Paul Jewish Community Center. Jennifer also is a recent graduate of the St. Paul Area Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership St. Paul program and the Harry Kay Leadership Institute.
